Right Click Menu in ThoughtSpot

In ThoughtSpot, the right-click menu provides several options to enhance data analysis:

  • Exclude Data Points: Allows users to exclude specific data points from the current analysis. For example, if you create a chart using measures such as Attribute - Category, Measure - Cost, and Revenue, you can right-click on a data point like “Book” to exclude it. This action removes the “Book” data point from the chart, allowing you to focus on and visualize other data points instead.

  • Include Data Points: Enables inclusion of selected data points for detailed examination. In the example, a chart was created using measures like Attribute - Category, Measure - Cost, and Revenue. When you right-click on “Book,” you can choose to include only this specific data point. This action filters the chart to display only the data related to “Book,” excluding all other data points.

When you right-click on “Book,” you can drill down to explore the specific measures used in the chart.

Drill Down within a Liveboard

When you drill down on an Answer within a ThoughtSpot Liveboard, the process mirrors drilling down on the Answer itself. This allows you to delve deeper into specific data insights directly within your dashboard environment. This clarification emphasizes the seamless continuity between exploring detailed data within Answers and navigating through Liveboards in ThoughtSpot.

Navigate back step-by-step using the in-product back button. The reset icon is conveniently integrated into the back button dropdown menu, allowing you to easily return to the original Answer after drilling down.
